Note on production numbers: Of the 1,541 civilian PA-11s built, approximately 600 were delivered with the A-65 engine and the remainder with the C-90. Many A-65 examples have since been upgraded to C-85 or C-90 engines under the type certificate data sheet, so the majority of flying PA-11s today have 85-90 HP. Performance
The PA-11 with the C-90 engine is a noticeably livelier airplane than the A-65-powered J-3 Cub.
