Terms of Service

Last updated August 27, 2026

These are the rules for using findmywings.com. They are a contract between you and Find My Wings LLC, so please read them — particularly the parts about what our reports are and are not, because that is where misunderstandings actually happen.

What Find My Wings is

We are an aircraft research and listing service. We help you work out what to buy, show you aircraft for sale, and produce reports about specific tail numbers from public records.

We are not a broker, dealer, agent, appraiser, mechanic or title company. We are not party to any transaction between you and a seller, we do not inspect aircraft, and we do not take a commission on a sale.

What our reports are — and are not

A tail-number report gathers what public records say about an aircraft: FAA registration, NTSB accident history, and Form 337 major repair and alteration filings, alongside airworthiness directives that may apply to that type. The written analysis is produced with the help of an AI model.

Reports can be incomplete or wrong. Public records lag reality and sometimes contain errors. Not every event is reported to the FAA or NTSB in the first place. Airworthiness directives can turn on equipment fitted to one particular airframe, which no public record reliably lists. And AI-generated text can misread a record it was given.

A report is a starting point for your own diligence, never a substitute for it. Before buying an aircraft you should commission a prebuy inspection by a qualified mechanic, review the actual logbooks, and run a title and lien search. A clean report is not a clean aircraft; a report showing a repaired incident is not a bad one.

Aircraft specifications and performance figures shown on model pages are typical values for a type, not a specification for any individual aircraft, and vary with year, equipment, weight, modifications and engine condition.

Listings

Aircraft listings are supplied by the dealers who post them. Those dealers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the condition of their aircraft, and their dealings with you. We do not verify listings, and we are not a party to any sale.

Some listings on the site are clearly marked as samples. They are illustrative and do not represent aircraft for sale.

We may remove a listing at any time, particularly one we believe is inaccurate or misleading.

Your account

You need an account to save aircraft, set alerts and read reports you have bought. Keep control of the email address you sign in with — anyone with access to that inbox can get into your account, because that is how emailed sign-in links work.

You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and old enough where you live to enter a contract.

Paid reports

Some reports are paid. When that applies, the price is shown before you pay and payment is handled by our payment processor on its own secure checkout — we never see your card details.

Once you have bought a report, it stays yours. You keep access to it for as long as you have an account, and you can open it again whenever you like. If a report fails to generate after you have paid, we will regenerate it at no further charge — your payment buys the report, not one attempt at it.

If something is genuinely wrong with a report you have paid for, tell us at info@findmywings.com. We would rather fix it or refund it than argue about it.

What you may not do

  • Scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the site, our catalogue or our reports.
  • Resell, republish or redistribute reports you have bought.
  • Use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages to dealers or other users.
  • Try to get around access controls, rate limits or authentication, or probe the site for vulnerabilities without asking us first.
  • Post anything unlawful, misleading or fraudulent.

If you think you have found a security problem, please write to info@findmywings.com rather than publishing it. We will take it seriously.

Our content and yours

The site, our aircraft catalogue and our report text belong to us, except for material that belongs to someone else. Aircraft photographs come largely from Wikimedia Commons and remain under their own licences — see our image credits.

Anything you post — a listing, a profile, a message — stays yours. You give us permission to display it where it needs to appear for the site to work.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from your account page. Deleting it removes your account and the reports associated with it, so download anything you want to keep first — we cannot recover it for you afterwards.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours for any other reason, we will refund any paid report you can no longer reach.

No warranty

The site and our reports are provided as they are. We do not promise the site will always be available, that reports will be complete or accurate, or that an aircraft will turn out as a report suggests. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Bourbon County, Kansas.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you by email if a change materially affects you. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
