Where a line shows a range, the total, per-hour and per-mile figures use its midpoint— insurance moves most with your experience and time in type, hangar with where you base the aircraft, so your own number could sit at either end. Annual inspection is the shop's labor to open and inspect — what they find is the maintenance line, which covers oil changes, plugs, tires, brakes, hoses, lights, a battery and vacuum pump amortised over their life, and the unscheduled squawks that are the largest and least predictable part of it. Overview

It represents the final evolution of the V-tail design before Beechcraft dropped the configuration in favor of the conventional-tail Bonanza 33 and 36 lines.
Approximately 6,600 later V-tail Bonanzas were built, and over 6,000 V-tail models of all years remain flying today. The V35B alone accounts for over 1,500 units produced.

Performance
The V35B delivers a book cruise of 172 KTAS at 75% power — a genuine 200 mph airplane. Real-world owners consistently report 165-175 KTAS depending on altitude, weight, and leaning technique. At economy cruise (55-60% power), expect 155-160 KTAS on 11-12 GPH, which extends range considerably.
The S35 was the breakout model — the jump from IO-470 (260HP) to IO-520 (285HP) made a noticeable difference in climb and cruise. All S35-and-later models are considered the most desirable V-tails.
The V-tail configuration provides a slight speed advantage (2-4 knots) over the straight-tail F33A with the same engine and weight, due to reduced interference drag. The tradeoff is the coupled pitch-yaw response of the ruddervators, which requires deliberate coordination technique, especially in turbulence.
